Use a quality piggyback such as the one your familiar with. In saying all this - Your desire is to just re-calibrate the injector pulse as time goes on - And to do this. To clarify this point - If you were to use the kit and re-flash your ECU either with one of the canned tunes or one you develop - Then in the future you can READ the tune and DISPLAY it in software and make any changes deemed appropriate at that time. Once overwritten - You will then have full access - Or as much as Yamaha allows us to have and do anything you wish from this point. If you elect to do so - Then you will have access to the ECU and can over wright but not look at what is currently in it. Once you hook it up to both your computer and your ECU - Then the software will ask you if you wish to marry the 2 together. The F/T kit comes with a proprietary USB hookup cable that has a unique serial number embedded in a chip in the cable. Same goes for the factory tune - One can READ it and also SAVE it - But the file can't be DISPLAYED. At no time does one have the opportunity to display any performance tune in the software. If one can't save the ALBA tune this makes it even less desirable to go down this path. The only way F/T will work on your ALBA flashed ECU is using the F/T kit - And removing and I'm not sure this is an option but overwriting is. So - F/T will do you no good as it only will work or connect to an open/un-flashed ECU. Your wish is to make "Fuel" adjustments as time and upgrades are applied.ġst - You must understand that your ECU is already re-flashed - And you do.
